Nobody else with this problem? I tried to narrow it down. Parsing without getting birthyears works! But getting BYs from people that aren't yet in my DB is not working at all.

Just as an example, because it has as small cast and I have most actors in my DB I used
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3462710/

Parsing works perfect, including BYs till Robin Hardy, who isn't in my DB. After a long break CCE2 gets the next 3 actors, who are already in my DB. After that noting goes anymore. The BY field for the last 8 actors (+ Robin Hardy) is greyed out and pressing the get BY button again doesn't do anything.

mine is erroring as well saying requests being blocked and after three times that i hit the get by it just stops parsing so i have just stopped trying to fill in blanks for now

i wasnt looking for the series itself.  i own that but there were 5 made for tv movies that used episodes from the series but had special intro and exit scenes added to them but upon further research they were never released and only the abc stations that aired the tv movies had the intro and exit scenes.  i found a youtube video that has those scenes only so my hunt is over.

i did find the intro and exits that was used for these tv movies.  I will take this from the description at the youtube video i found that my search is over as i didn't want a taped from tv copy of these movies which is apparently what might be found.

The ABC openings and closings of these telefilms were neither broadcast by other stations nor included on any home media release.

these were made and released in the early 80's from the tv series Planet of the Apes.  i just recently came across these on a fansite about Roddy McDowell and that he donned the ape makeup to do beginning and ending for each of these made for tv movies.  i have never seen the added McDowell scenes or these tv movies.  Were they released on dvd across the pond?  i am just trying to figure out where to better focus my search.

Back to the Planet of the Apes
The Forgotten City of the Planet of the Apes
Treachery and Greed on the Planet of the Apes
Life, Liberty and Pursuit on the Planet of the Apes
Farewell to the Planet of the Apes

In Settings > Parsing > People > Links there's an option to check for redirects.

Try to disable that, it sends a lot of requests to IMDb that most of the time aren't necessary.

The original idea of the feature was that sometimes more unknown actors get more than one IMDb page and when someone figures out that they're the same person, they get merged and one page points to the other. And CCE2 was trying to find these to let you know that two people might be the same. But try it without that feature.

that link setting fixed it for me after getting the newest version as well.  i was trying to get Andor cast
