However, this is the only acting credit for Mr. Popovich in the entire Invelos database, and as such, how he's credited this one time automatically becomes his "common name". He's credited as "LCDR Reed Popovich", so that's how I entered him: it's exactly as credited, and seeing as there are no other acting credits out there for Mr. Popovich, there's absolutely no way we can sustain something else as "common name".
