Hello there

I'm using DVDProfiler for a long time now.
It stores my DVD, my  BluRays ... and the movies I watched online (Amazon Prime & NetFlix).

I asked in another topic if it was possible to automate the creation of the profile for streamed movies.
It is not.

So I create them manually, and I get the cover.
Everything is ok in my desktop software.

But when I upload my collection to download it on my iPad, the covers are missing.
Is it because the profile is not validated ? Has no UPC ... ?

Is there a way to have at least the cover on the iPad ?

Thanx for helping

How do to transfer from PC to iPad? Do you upload the collection online and then down again?

That way your covers get lost.

What should work, if you establish a direct connection via your wifi and syn directly between the profilers.

You need to enable this in the PC's profiler's settings and on your iPad you need to set up a collection that sync directly that way

If what Karsten says sounds kind of foreign, you could try backing up from your PC; copying the file to a thumb drive; copy that to your iPad and restore the database on your iPad copy of DVDP.

I might be wrong here, but are the backup files really compatible? I had the iPad app back in the day when I had an iPad 3 a number of years ago and it didn't even have a USB port.

Newer iPads have a USB-C port, so you'd have to have a converter in order to use a thumb drive.
But can the iOS Profiler load a Desktop backup file? I doubt it.

Sorry guys, I wasn't thinking of it being the apple iOS. I was thinking about having to run some kind of windows version on an apple with wine or the like.

What Karsten said is the best way to sync the 2 DBs.

Hello DJ Doena. Thank you for your answer.

Usually I upload / download online.
But I tried the solution you mentionned : it didn't work.
Is there  some special set up to force the image sync ?

Create a new database on your iPad:

  • Select "Yes, Connect to DVD Profiler"

  • Select "Connect to DVD Profiler for PC"

  • Reference these pages for additional support:
