I installed DVD Profiler 4.0 on a newer computer as my old desktop died. I had previously saved the database backup.  But I can't get either the collections.dat nor the .dbk files with the collection to install on the new computer.  The error message says my database is newer than the profiler version, which is nonsense, the profiler version is the newest available.  What to do? How can I restore my database? Please help.
Thanks.

Make sure you didn't accidentally install the Beta 4.0 near the bottom of the page. The official release is the download near the top of the downloads page. Also check the system date and time on your new computer, and make sure that it is correct.
Thanks for your support.

What are you trying to restore?  A DVD Profiler backup should be a .dpb file.

Yes, the dpb file is what I am trying to restore. I get the message that the back up file is too new for my recently installed version of Profiler.  Thanks for your interest.  Can you suggest a solution?

Thanks for your reply. I installed the current version, 4.0, from the top of the page. I tried it on a separate desktop with the same result, backup file (.dpd) too new of the version of profiler. Any other suggestion?
