I know that here were discussions long ago about how to enter disc info for the flip side of double sided discs with one movie on each side. Some argued that since this is the B side, that the info should be under Side B. Others argued that since the profile only profiles a single side, the info should be under Side A. I don't recall if there was ever any consensus. Personally I would prefer the info unde Side A.

However, the entry pictured here makes no sense, does it? At the very least both Description and Disc ID should be entered for the same side.

I want to fix this, but I can't decide which is correct. All under Side A, or all under Side B?

Are we talking about a child profile for a single movie, physically on side B of a double sided disc with several movies? If so, then that:

This is my understanding:

The Discs ID rule specifically targets a dual-sided disc containing a single film that may be on both sides or span both sides. There is only one profile and the use of "Side B" description implies the film is either the same film with different aspect ratio or a continuation of the film from "Side A".

However, if there are different films on either side of the dual-sided disc, the "Side B" description is irrelevant, as they are not the same film and we create a box set with separate child disc-ID profiles for each film using standard contribution rules, as per the box set rules. So each child Disc-ID profile will have a "Side A" Main Feature disc-ID entry.

Hope that provides some clarity on the subject.
