I have already done this same thing with The Hunt for Red October: 097363-202073 approved and released. After the last "set" of names, I inserted an untitled divider, which makes clear the break back into the normal cast listing.

How about inserting a blank divider when the first divider should end and then resume with "unlabeled" cast.

I have merely reported from the other forum, but since you drag me into this:

I'd have to see it, if it looks "alright". But then people may start inserting empty dividers a lot to represent gaps in the cast credits, whch is certainly not the intent here...?

I can't communicate with "them" if you know what I mean, so I sorta had to say it to you...

But look up ^ cuz it appears it was antolod's idea first.

Invasion of the empty dividers!

Check out antolod's Hunt for Red October. I hear it's hooked up already.

I would definately agree, they should not be used to make gaps... only at the end of a divided cast section.

Hmmm, looks basically o.k. to me. maybe I should carry over this idea to the German forum...?

Although, in the online collection it seems as if there are two empty dividers below the "Konovalov Officers and Crew" section...

Yes, ya_shin, I know what you mean. There is a little space added above the dividers, and of course the blank divider is another space. Be nice if blank dividers would somehow "look" smaller.

Thanks Skip, When I was putting the dividers in, it just did not look right following the Konolvaov section to jump right back in with the remianing cast, so I just threw in the divider.

Now if Ken could make a divider with no text about half that size it would look even better.

So, you can't really know if Role - actor name is part of the Rocksteady Crew or not.

That's actually what I did...I just haven't uploaded it yet.  Will try and get to it tomorrow...still recovering from my 5 day trip.

Well, as ya_shin pointed out, we had this discussion already in the German forum regarding "Casino Royale". With the additional input from this discussion here, and after taking a look at Antolod's "The Hunt for Red October" profile, I have to say that I don't find the look of the empty dividers too appealing. Maybe it's just me, but this set-up looks a lot like someone forgot to enter something into the field....

I had suggested to place the actors marked as a group by a headline of sorts at the end of the credits list. This way there would be no doubt about the number of entries in these groups and no need for an empty field added to the list.

Of course, that would steer away from "as credited" regarding the on screen order of the credits.

But then again, the name of a group (Casino Royal Players ("Casino Royale") or Dallas Officers and Crew ("The Hunt...")) is not a valid credit either, so we're marginally steering away from "as credited" anyway.

Have to agree with Darxon. This doesn't look appealing at all, and as it is, after just looking at the cast list,  there is no way for a casual user to understand why the empty divider is there. Sorry, but if there was a vote about this, I would vote against empty dividers.

It is now.  I believe that there is a blank space in the actual credits but haven't had time to double check...another reason I haven't contributed it yet.  I will double check the credits later today.

For anyone who does not like the blank divider, I have made it un-blank    and uploaded it to my online. I still think it looks fine as the "extra" blank space in the online. Locally, it is just a blank row, the same color as the other dividers, no larger than 1 cast entry.

We are limited by what the program can do, and moving the divided cast to the bottom of the cast list is too much of a departure from as credited IMO.  Once you get used to the look, I think it is much more clear where the division ends by using the blank divider.

I looked at it. Not my cup of tea...

But I am not highly opinionated on this topic and will follow whatever consensus is found.
