On the release of Forbidden Planet it has 2 edition names.

"Ultimate Collector's Edition"

"50th Anniversary Edition"

The Ultimate is only on the paper portion, whereas the 50th is on the tin itself.

Do we use both? or since the 50th is on the tin itself- do we use that one since most peoiple will probably throw out or lose the paper portion of the package.

I agree. But sometimes this answer cannot be applied, due to the length of the field, so sometimes we might have to either abbreviate or prioritize which data is the most important, which can be a challenge.

Which is something we should discuss if and when the situation arises, as has been done successfully before (Highlander ring a bell, Skip? )

Yes, in situations like this, throw out the paper portion and forget it ever existed
