I mean, seriously, what's up with that? I see users who don't have the shiny disc in the top right corner of each post. Why don't they link? What are they hiding? I say we throw them in the river and if they float, then they're a witch and we burn them. Who's with me?

Apparently I'm one of them, but I've got nothing to hide Mr. Squirrel!! (or is it Mr. God??)

How do I make my collection visible to the forum?

Click "My Profiler" at the top and then tick the box.

I prefer drawing and quartering. More upclose and personal...

Sorry, there no way, I'll put my privates on the links

Seriously, I'm currently updating and converting my collection from a previous software, so when I'm done and satisfied with the result, I'll make it public.

Hey Mr. Squirrel, how come you have 'Apocalypto' in your owned list? I didn't think it was out yet...

I was one of those people for years.  But that was because I didn't use My Profiler at all, so I never had an online collection for anyone to see.

Once voting was implemented, however, I had to have an online collection so I'd get something to vote on.  Then I made it viewable (except for adult titles, of course!).

Now you know how Costner felt.

I hope you realize how much your copy of The Woman in Black is worth!

I have always linked to my collection, I find it very useful to access from anywhere and to point others to my Wishlist etc.

I don't show:
1) My orders: Partly because if I'd ordered a present for my wife it stays here until I give it to her and partly because she can't check what/how many I've ordered for me this week
2) My adult titles, because I don't need any grief or to have to 'explain' why I can enjoy watching certain sexual practices without a) wanting to do them and/or b) being a weird deviant.

Hipocritically I find it useful when others do show their adult stuff so I can find out about releases i'm unaware of but that's life!

Four things I look for when scoping out someone else's  DVD llibrary:

1. The DVD region codes of most of the library will almost point to what area of the world they live.

2.  The age of the movies:-  are they mostly 80' /90' /00's  will tell me the age of the member.
(usually pre thirty age olds  aren't overly interested in the great classics of the 30's to 70's .

3. The size of the DVD library shows me their great interest in movies and Television boxsets.

4. Their home budget spent on buying these DVD's, (or in some instances guessing the occupation of the member)., It's possible they don't go out or vacation often, and all their monies are spent on home theatre and videos which  mayalso  put them in a position of freebees or promotional DVD's exclusively offered to them at a very good price to no charge.

JMO  that is...

In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.

You have your pm icon, but you don't see it. Usually you don't pm yourself.

I know in your case is a different matter...
