thanks for all the input and sources, i'm sure i'll be able to gather the cast from there

but the general problem remains

1) what source do we use if there's no cast credited?
2) mark them all as uncredited or not?

an answer to both question should be added to the rules

1) Can't mention any single source. There are none. You just have to look around
2) Mark them as uncredited. They're not credited and should be marked as such.

I don't think the rules need to be updated though. The rules can't mention any single source (due to copyright etc.) and the uncredited part covers the rest

Since they are not credited in the credits, then they should be marked (uncredited) also (voice) should be checked.

a small addition of "If there are no cast credits at all, do not use uncredited" would change this. So basically the question is what the preferred method would be?

My preferred method is still to tick the uncredited box...

An amusing bit of trivia: Donnie Dunagan, who was the voice of Bambi, is also Basil Rathbone's  little kid in Son of Frankenstein.  He went on to be a Marine and kept the fact that he was Bambi a closely guarded secret for obvious reasons.

If those discs do not have a cast list, but you can obtain the true information from some other source, then they should be included in the normal fashion, NOT listed as 'uncredited' because that implies that there IS a cast list and they aren't in it, when if fact there is NO cast list for anyone to be credited from.  If someone provides a verified cast list from another source(s) where none previously existed, then THAT is crediting those cast members.

hmm. I have to disagree. (uncredited) just means they aren't credited. If they aren't marked as (uncredited), then that would imply that they are credited in the film credits. Which would be wrong. A cast list for which they're all marked (uncredited) clearly tells you there are no cast credits in the film.

I would say the uncredited box should be checked. If you don't check it it implies that there is a cast list in the film and they are in it.

Any cast from an outside source (not listed in the film credits) is 'uncredited'. If not I could just add the  extra cast that is often listed on IMDb as 'credited', after all it is 'credited' on their site.

Agree. Any cast not directly from the film somewhere should be labeled as uncredited (IMO)

Yes.  If no cast is credited, then anyone listed in the cast box should have the uncredited box ticked.

yeah, because of this paragraph

"Uncredited actors may be listed in alphabetical order following all credited actors. Use the "Uncredited" checkbox to indicate these. Uncredited actors are not required entries."

a small addition of "If there are no cast credits at all, do not use uncredited" would change this. So basically the question is what the preferred method would be?

Use the rules as is what you qouted. The other doesen't belong here, go to the Contribution Rules Committee for this.
