Well, at least for those using OpenOffice it's easy OpenOffice allows you to select the separating character when saving as CSV.

I am sure there is a way for Excel too, Tom must have done it and I know Mithirandir has done it too.

Excellent plugin.

I have done awards files for Empire Magazine, British Independent Film and Independent Spirit awards.  Do you want me to mail them to you?

It is fairly easy to do in Excel.  I have a spreadsheet with each award on a different tab.  I can then save the page as a Tab Seperated Variable file and then edit the file and convert the tabs to | and remove double quotes.

Have you tried to install the correct .NET Framework?

I use the Award-Editor in the CCViewer. Easy, and efficient (and "export-to-file"-button  )

You can find examples on my website (except the Academy Awards file, that was done slightly different and is nt an easy example...). I think I also explained the columns which should are in the files...

Great, I'll take a look . I'll start with the Pusan Film Awards, since that one isn't that old.

Best way to collect the awards is, if you use my Cinematic Collection Viewer. In there there is an option Edit->Awards. Simply use this editor and then export it to a file.
This way it is ensured, that the resulting data does not pose any problems with the viewer and the Awards plugin.

I had fun today (not). After lots of bickering and hitting my pc, I finally found out what caused the error that your plugin presented to me. I had saved the file in unicode format, turns out it had to be ANSI.

Will try to finish the Pusan Awards today, but I only know the winners, not the nominees, so I won't be adding those. I'm only using your DVDP plugin, so I can't be certain the file will work with your stand alone program, but I would think so.

My standalone program uses the same database as the plugin. Also the award import function comes from the DLL I have written for my stand-alone program. So if it works with the plugin, it will work with the viewer.

Did manually registering itself succeed? I.e. was there a message, that registering was successful?

Hey Tom!

Yes, I did get a message that registration of the .dll was successful, however I still get the original error message when trying to create a new database from the Administration option within DVD Profiler 3....

Does my stand-alone program Cinematic Collection Viewer work? If not, finding of the cause will probably be easy. If yes, then I am stumped.
