The series is a league of its own. Extraordinary pictures. My jaw was in the floor all 9-10 hours. I own it on DVD and the picture just pops out of the screen. Should be some of the best available stuff on HD. I've read some reviews that really praised it.

Anyway, I hope as many people as possible sees it because it really shows the fragility of our environment really well without pointing any fingers. Pick it up!! Only reason to pick up the DVD in stead are the extras that are not on the HD-versions.

I saw the series on TV and it's exceptional.  I highly recommend the content and I'm not normally one for "nature stuff".

As for the DVDs, HD DVDs and Blu-ray, I'd point you to DVD-Basen.

Saw it at best buy for $79.00 (HD DVD) was drooling... but had to pass for now. Will be in my collection soon though. Certainly by Father's Day

Paul,

thanks for contributing it. Hope it shows up on the download list soon.

As for the series it is incredible especially in HD. We originally watched it on DiscoveryHD and I knew I wanted to get it when released. If it had not been for a lucky draw at an office holiday party I would not have a PS3 to watch it on.  I did buy Planet Earth BD at Walmart.com for like $66
