Hi , glad to see there are a whole heap of people who share the same compulsive interest in DVDs as I do. Currentloy I have 4461 DVDs in DVD Profiler. It's getting so I am loosing track of which ones I won and I end up buying duplicates. The solution to this problem is the creation of a Iphone/Touch versio which I can carry around. I look forward to Invelos releasing such a version in the near future. At the current rate that I watch movies , I will have to live to be 138.79 in order watch them all.... Everyone needs a goal in life...

Welcome to our asylum, CliftonC!

Welcome to the forums!

The only problem you might find is that now that you have the program...you end up buying even more DVDs!

Clifton, I had the same buying duplicates problem and I ran across a great application around two years ago if you have an iPhone/iPod/iPad. This application is actually the SINGLE REASON I still have to carry my iPod all the time, and I'm eagerly awaiting a good version for the Droid.

Go to the app store and take a look at an app called My Movies Rack Pro. It's only $1.99, but the ad-supported version is free. It's graphical and works flawlessly, and will do OTA sync with your Invelos database. It has saved me a lot of the annoyance of buying something then getting home and realizing I already have it.

Made it.

Count of today: 1002
(TV-shows = 1 per season; Movie boxsets = 1 per film if on separate DVDs)
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Congratulations! When I look around I think 1000 items are a great achievement, Sir.

Just out of curiosity: do you you count unwatched DVDs replaced by unwatched B-rDs?

Nope,
when upgrading a title from DVD to BluRay the DVD gets removed from my collection.
I have a a custom tab for them named "Sale / Trade"

Do you count a title twice in a Blu-ray/Dvd Combo?

No,
should have been more precise. In movie boxsets I count 1 per title, if on separate discs. But I don't really consider combos to be boxsets.

So the double-feature DVD counts as 1, the Blu-Ray combo counts as one, the complete Star-Trek movie collection counts as 11.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!

I have a category "Sold" (few) and a category "Sell" (many), both not included in Owned. Like you, I also count seasons and movies.

But what worries me: I replace unwatched DVDs by then unwatched B-rDs.
