But he did say we'd be getting that code with release 3.5.1.  That version is now out, so hopefully we'l be getting what we need to update our plug-ins soon.

Regarding this, please see Ken's recent note in the Dev forum.

Can you be more specific?  I'm not finding any recent note from Ken in there (the plugin development forum).

He means Ken's post from November 17th in the top-most thread (the second to last posting).

Ok, so I can't update the plugin until version 3.6.  Regardless, you'll just have to live with ratings not being exported at this time.  And there's not much I can do about it without making drastic changes to the way the plugin currently works.  I use that field as well and I'm not getting it either.  So I'll be updating it as soon as I can.

Hi there,

after installing the plugin an beginning to export the following message appears:

"Object reference not set to an instance of anobject"

What kindof error is this - anybody knows ?

Edit: Not the first to ask about this. Still no solution ?

Is this plugin still maintained?

If so, I would like to request 2 additional fields if possible:
Cover art location for Front cover
Cover art location for Back cover

Thank you.

Your problem might be solvable without any changes in the Plugin:
The path is "\Documents and Settings\$Username\My Documents\DVD Profiler\Databases\$Databasename\Images\" (unless you choose to change it manually)
Just insert the right $Username and $Databasename and of you go.
Also see Image naming conventions in the Knowledge Base.

Thanks for the link...

Reason why I ask is I plan on making a custom movie selection screen and interfacing with eventghost to control my hometheater. Having the name of the coverart clearly defined to the profile, not having to figure out which naming convention was used, would be immensely helpful.

I would copy the images to a new folder and rename them based on this output.

hm, I think you should switch to XML instead. Everything you could possibly need is there.
I copy all frontcovers of unwatched DVDs into a directory which are than shown by my screensaver.

See the anime-covermover.xsl (part of "my DVD Profiler 3.0 XSLs" for starters.

I'll take a look. thanks for the files...

i looked at the xml output and the <ID> tag has the name of the cover art, just need to add a "f" or "b" for front or back.

Love your plugin. One question, is there a column/option to export the first audio track for a profile ? I didn't see one, and I have only read a handful of posts in this thread, so forgive me, especially if there is one and I am just blind . Thanks

Could you explain the request a little more please.  I'm not sure I'm clear on what it is exactly that you're asking for.

Sure, sorry for not better explaining it.

I want to be able to export the information (in the CSV file) for the first audio track. Both the Language (IE: English, Spanish, Chinese, etc) and the format (IE: DD, True-HD, DTS-MA, LPCM etc).

Thanks for the super quick response to my initial query

I've been working on this getting it ready for 3.6.  It's not ready for release yet since 3.6 is still in beta, but here's a list of the changes so far.  If anyone else has any changes they'd like, this would be the time to request them!

Ratings now export correctly again!

A few fields have been renamed.  Not a big deal.  Things like MPAA Rating is now simply Rating.

It should now detect your locality and output with the proper separator.  For example, it should use semicolons for German users instead of commas.

The following fields can now be exported:

Rating Description
Count As
Media Companies
Custom Media Type
Tags (first, last, full)
Currency Value, Currency Type and Formatted values for SRP and Purchase Price.  So you'd have 11.50, € and €11.50 for example.
Profile ID
Cover art location for Front cover
Cover art location for Back cover
Information about the first audio track.
Blu-ray regions
Blank Column (this is a special field I added to insert blank columns in the output if anyone needs that ability)

Are there any known problems running it on the current 3.6 beta release ? I was going to update, but not if I can't export to csv (which I use to get the collection into Excel). Thanks for your great plugin(s) (also love the DB Query plugin).

I haven't tested the current version on 3.6.  But installing the beta doesn't mean you have to get rid of the 3.5.  You can have them both installed.

But the plug-in isn't ready for release for 3.6 just yet.  Not until 3.6 is more stable.
