Is there a slight possibility to make a headshot-database? Or "Headshot-Sharing"? It would take ages to search and import all those pictures...

Headshot-Sharing has already been done by several super users and DVD Doug has hosted them

I know that... but...

I seems, that you have to copy and paste every single headshot into the database. It that is a lot of work.
It would be easy to put all the headshots in a subfolder, so that DVDProfiler has access to them. But - as I can see - the headshots are together in a single database and not in single jpg-datas.

As an intermediate solution, I'm working on an AutoIt script that will automate the headshots insertion stuff. Stay tuned....

It would be nice if multiple head shots for an actor could be uploaded to the DVDP database and then let users download the head shot of the actor they want.  Or, download all the ones uploaded and then let you choose a favorite to be displayed for that actor.

We could have an head shot update just like a DVD update.

this would never work - everybody would prefer their own headshot - it has to be just local.

It's too much work to be just local. The vast majority of users just won't bother.

This will never happen because of legal issues.

Agreed, but it sure would be nice if we could just dump our headshots into a directory and DVDP would display them from that directory as  long as it was an exact match to the name in the cast list.

Why is that? IMDB does it. I mean i know if someone really wanted and had the money they could have a case, but it just isnt realistic IMO.

Bingo!  That would be an ideal solution.

Have you ever tried to add an headshot to IMDb? You cannot. Only the actor or his/her agent can.

I just discovered this is built in.  Double click an actor, and when the actor window pops up, click on the place for their picture.  This will bring up a google page full of head shots for that actor.  Right click on the pic you want, go back to DVDP and past it into the headshot section for that actor.
