The problem is: DVDPM is written in a .NET language. .NET is only available for Windows Mobile operating systems. If Ken would decide to make a PALM version it would be completely different code, in a different programming language.

I understand what you are if relating, I am not lay in the subject but he did not cost to try.
A version PALM would be coming well the community of users PALM.
Unhappyly I use the PALM more than the 5 years, already I acquired at least three models and the current use iSolox to configure my collection of DVD.
My Smartphone (MOTION Q) with the last versions of the WM6.0 also is not recognized.
I find that I have that to learn to buy... ehehehehehe

I would love to see a palm version.  I recently bought a palm tx because it was the best price for what I needed for nursing school.  I would have loved to buy a pda with windows mobile so that I could use it with DVD profiler but had to be realistic.

1st of glad to see the poll is up from just 8 votes. I do use the iSilo option, as well a Videolist from WakefieldSoft, (which I used before discovering DVDProfiler.) The aurthor of that program says he is doing a major release hopefully by the end of the year. I have requested that he add look up by UPC and, the ability to show cover scans. I only use the program as a backup these days as I find it is easier to use when out shopping for DVD's. While the best of all possible worlds would be one where Ken makes a Palm version, I'm afraid that may never come to fruition.

I voted yes, maybe late but better late that never.

My Palm is with me at all times and in my wallet two sad scraps of paper telling me of DVD's that I wanted at some point, but nothing to telll me what my current owned list is.

To me a Palm version would be a gift worth paying for.

IMHO the low numbers here are not indicative of the number of people who might be interested in a Palm version should it be actually released.  Most Palm users (and there are a lot, when you look at all the Treos out there) don't even know DVD Profiler exists, but many would probably try it if a Palm version were available.  Heck, it would probably result in people who didn't know about it trying the desktop version too.

For the moment I export a title list to .csv and keep it on my Centro, but just about the only thing it's useful for is checking if I already have a DVD when I see a good deal in a store.

Your aasumption makes absolutely no sense.

Interest in a Mobile version of DVD Profiler is low because most Palm users don't know DVD Profiler exists .

I would love a Palm version of DVD Profiler.  Maybe then I won't have to return or give DVD's away because I bought them again.  Plus, I am not going to buy a new PDA just to use Profiler

I would also LOVE a Book Profiler!!

You could always do the iSilox way of downloading you online collection page to avoid this.
As for a Book Profiler, might I suggest you look at Readerware, or Bookbag from WakefieldSoft.
