I'm yet to run into a full limit in the contribution notes window, and everything appears in the notes history for each title, but notes over a certain length are cut off in the voting window (about 1000 characters by the look of things), so people can't see all the documentation for changes unless they go into the program and access the contribution history for that title manually.

It's not normally a problem, but I've just done 24 S6 and of course a certain negative-happy voter either failed to realise that a half-complete sentence wasn't where my notes finished, or just jumped on a chance to lash out; every other voter managed to figure it out. Either way, I've edited the notes to tell people to either look at the entirety through the program, or navigate to a txt file I put on my webspace with the whole thing, but this is a little too roundabout to be policy, particularly when common names need so much documentation. Ken, this can't be a difficult change to make, please have a look at this situation.

Next time rather than stooping to a thinly veiled insulting remark, try a PM. That's all it would have taken.

One of the distinct disadvantages of the childish behavior of no communication.

There is no insult, there is an either-or. If you found yourself insulted, I can only assume the "or" is correct. Either way, how does PMing YOU solve this issue at large?

I will agree that more room would be useful.

You claim no insult but you, no I won't say what i was going toi say way too nasty.

It was a thinly veiled insult and if you don't realize that then you are less smart than i give you credit for being. A PM is all that was needed to fix the instant question.

Paranoia is all too often borne of a guilty conscience. If a PM is all that's needed to solve a problem, then why are you here sabotaging your zillionth thread? Once again, there's nothing left to do now but make up stuff or go tangential and send us back around in circles. Help yourself, but you're getting nothing further from me on the matter. If you want to make constructive comments regarding the topic at hand, I'd be only too happy to hear them.

Nadja:

Not at all you took a swipe at SOMEBODY, I didn't say you took a swipe at me, but you clearly made an unnecessary remark. And a PM would have resolved the issue.

Face it Nadja, you are just a very nasty person. And you want to take shots at whoever you fancy to be your target.

Oh good, new matter, what a surprise. Alright then, it's about time you backed up one of your lies once in a while. Name one person besides yourself and your sidekick that I have EVER been anything less than civil towards anywhere on these forums or those at Intervocative. At some point you have to realise that the reason you think everyone is out to get you is because you bring it upon yourself. I don't go after anyone, not even you, you BRING IT ON YOURSELF.

Now, the name, if you please?

You have no excuse to be less than civil towards ANYONE , Nadja. Take your grudge and stick it where the sun does not shine. I will treat you in precisely the same manner in which you choose to treat me. Grow up and act like an adult for a CHANGE, it might be fun to actually be able to discuss something with you.

Although I will offer this warning you are pressing on a very sensitive nerve that will get blasted clear to the moon and back.

Do you? Because let's face it, I don't have any issues with anyone else on the forums. I see few if any enmities on the forums that have anything to do with anyone other than you.

Now, once again, what is the name, Skip?

I support this request. As the contribution system is as it is, the best is to have all the place which is necessary to contribute correctly. You took it the right way, I don't see which PM could have solved that problem, except directly to Ken.

Thank you, surfeur. A constructive post, yay for my thread!

No, Skip, don't back off when you're in a corner. If you want to actually validate your argument, back it up. I tried to give you an out, but you wouldn't take it, now you're back in. If you're not an outright slanderer, you'll be able to PROVIDE THE NAME.

I have already said I support what Nadja has suggested. Surfeur other tthan that you appear to flumoxed by the English language again. A simple PM would have alerted the user to the immediate problem without the necessity of coming here and taking a swipe at someone as Nafdja very clearly did.

That part of Nadja's post was totally unnecessary and unacceptable behavior

The slanderer Nadja, is you. You took the swipe at someone ("of course a certain negative-happy voter"), you know who were taking the shot at, why don't you provide it. Or are you unwilling to admit that what you said was unacceptable and was better left unsaid. I am tired of this stupidity, time for bed.

Why don't I provide what? You claim to have evidence of me starting fights on the forums, I know I haven't, what exactly do you want me to provide?

You ARE negative-happy, Skip. You jump on any excuse to give me negative votes, and I'm not the only one you do it to, but I don't care, I've never brought it up either in public or PM with anyone, and given that nine times out of ten it is clear that you are either wrong or voting to preference, it doesn't make a difference.

THIS one, however, was indicative of a problem, not just with you, but with the program itself, and hence I brought it to the forum. And it will be said that I didn't make it about you, YOU'RE the one who put yourself in the spotlight. You changed your vote, so if you hadn't started up (which in fairness I should have anticipated, you having absolutely no impulse control), no-one would even have known. It's your paranoia and thin-to-no-skin that made this fight, not my anonymous comments.

Now, put up, why don't you? All you need to do to "win" this is prove your initial complaint against me; your insistence that I start fights. These days, at any given time, it can be assumed that there are anything around half a dozen threads in the contributions forum in which you are being uncivil, that doesn't need backing up. But once you take off your red-tinted glasses and actually look at me, you'll find that it's NOT me starting fights, with anyone, even you. Unless you can turn it around, prove me tp be the liar and PROVIDE THE NAME. That's ALL you have to do. Why haven't you done it yet?

I agree on having more space in the contribution note display. But do you realize that there is a direct link to the contribution notes history on the evaluation screen? No need to go inside the program.

I'll have you know I completely overlooked that! Thanks Tom, that'll do better for this one than hosting a text file
