How about waiting for several days until the initial tidal wave of profile updates subsides?  In other words, wait until the database stabilizes a bit to see if the problem persists.

I had that too. I guess we have to wait until they fixed the repair program.

I ran this repair yesterday and now I have some profiles where all of the crew members are the same name now. I even saw a contribution from someone else that had crew members all of the same name.

So I guess my file is corrupted now and I have to re-import from 2.5?

Seems so... I fixed mine by re-importing from a 2.5 backup I did without cover scans and that corrected almost all the corruption.

I did it by selecting 'selected profiles' and selecting All (except those I'd fixed manually) and BTW it leaves the coverscans intact.

I did this too and all crew entries fixed. Before I made the coverless backup in 2.5, I run database repair in 2.5.

But then after the restore I re-run Database Repair Utility again in 3.0 (just to be sure everything is OK in 3.0). After that crew members in some profiles were wrong again. In some profiles several crew member names were replaces by the last name from the cast list.

I would suggest: DO NOT USE THE DATABASE REPAIR UTILITY IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!
