This is a great idea Kulju, have you considered having some indication of how popular a request is too? Maybe when someone +1s it in this thread, update your first post with the info? Just an idea. This could be a very useful thread if maintained correctly. I've used DVDP and followed the forums for years, so at the moment I'm adding them by my best judgement. If someone disagrees my judgements, everyone are free to express their minds. I try to do my best to keep the list as usable for Ken and the other users as possible. |

I can print, and through adobe print to a pdf file. I would like to Write to *.txt for use in a word processor. Have you tried this? - Define a new printer - select: "Print To File" - Select Microsoft XPS Document Writer as the printer model Then when you print a report you get something that seems easy to cut/paste to Notepad. Could be something to play with until you get a better way. | | | Thanks for your support. Free Plugins available here. Advanced plugins available here. Hey, new product!!! *As part of the separate movie/DVDs databases, you coudl keep separate track of the cast list for each language, which you can sort of do now, but you could tie it to the audio track itself, which would be much more elegant. This could also be used to keep track of who is on commentaries. At the moment I think this goes under "separate movie/DVDs databases" request. If Ken ever (hopefully very soon) gives us any indication that he is interested to change database this way, I think we need a separate thread to think out details of this one. Quote:
*A list of who else has a title. it could give a list of everyone who has it displayed publically and a count that includes the private ones. For this one I'd like to have more support before I add it to the list. It has been asked before, but there has been discussion about privacy issues. Quote:
*Track language for descriptive audio track. Support for multiple languages on a single audio track (happens with movie like Traffic, or Blood: The *last Vampire that are just in multiple languages). This could also be used to note combination composer commentary/isolated score tracks. *Checkbox for picture-in-picture for HD DVD and Blu-ray. *Separate out audio codecs and channels as in older versions of DVD profiler. *Track video codecs for Blu-ray and HD DVD. *Give some indication if review exist without us having to check online. I doubt many bother checkign now since so many DVDs are blank. *For the website: fix the forum tools on each post. Things like bulleted lists do not work. These one's added, already existed or commented elsewhere in this thread. Quote: *Track current SRP as well as original. You can do that locally using notes for example. It think this is impossible to implement on common database. What should we use as a source for "Current SRP"? I see endless ping-ponging here. Other update: added Iran as CoO |

What do you mean by lists? We are able to have more than one database.
What comes to tabs. If they are customable I see difficulties with your online db. If you doesn't mean custom tabs, I think that we need a separate thread to find out which tabs users actually want.
Yes thats what I mean, more lists in addition to the owned, ordered and wishlist lists. I'd use the extra lists to seperate movies, tv, music dvd etc. Some people have expressed a desire to use them for seperating Blu-ray from their DVDs. For this reason I think they would almost definitely need to be user customizable. As you say, the online DB could be problematic. Maybe the lists would have to have generic names in the online db? I think we'd need to hear something from Ken about whats possible and whats not. Personally I never really use the online DB so I'd gladly lose it if I could have customisable lists. I know I could create seperate DBs for them but thats not ideal as its rather slow to switch between them for me and the mobile version of profiler doesn't support multiple DBs so I would lose access to the profiles in them. On top of that I'd much rather have all my profiles in one DB anyway. But if the mobile version supported multiple DBs and the switching process was optimised I'd settle for this as an alternative. | | | Last edited: by MarEll |

| Posted: | | | | Hi, I have a other wish: Very often I recorde a film from TV with my computer. And if this film is good, I put it to DVD. Now it would be nice to have the posibility to collect all film info like a normal DVD but than hit a button "Recorded by TV". In this case all EAN and Audio and Video features should set to 'Own record default' A special checkbox that can be filtered by should be goog idea than too! cu Carsten PS: I need no landscape Picture for the cover in this case. I use own cover from the report database, so I view I see its my own record |

I think this is getting so far from the original purpose of this program that maybe workaround is a better solution for this, than implementing this feature to the program. -Create a manual profile with the default options you like to have -Add tag, called for example "Recorded from TV" and check it in this profle Now everytime you get a new DVD, create manual profile and just copy all settings from that profile and that's it. You get "default settings" and correct tag, which you can use for filtering purposes. |

For example if dvd has 15 deleted scenes should we enter length, subtitles etc. for all of them separately?? and so on... Quote:

I meant the background colour of the window, not of the image itself When I paste a Cast or Crew image that doesn't fit in the rectangle there are two options: - crop image - expand image (with the possiblility to choose a background colour) I would like to have the option to choose another background colour if the cover doesn't fit in the window without changing the aspect ratio or cropping. |

Ofcourse you're right about that. It will take lots of time for everyone to agree on what information is needed. I would be glad if at least it was possbile to show the runtime of a featurette (now there is no disctinction between a b-roll of 2 minutes and a documentary of 2 hours). |

Now I understand what you mean. I use layout where cover scans fit to window and cropped cast images, so I havent met this "problem" before. Since we can adjust this color via themes or eliminate excess space around scans by layouts, I'll add this one if it gets more support from other users. |

But, what if you have 20 featurettes in a same disc? You have to list 'em all by name and then you can set the running times for 'em individually. This discussion to another thread please... |
