We are incapable of selecting a Credited As name for Uncredited so what would this do if Approved and someone tried to update their local profile?
I think the obvious solution is for no Credited As to be used if the Uncredited box is checked and have the submitted name auto converted. This is just theory, but could you not just clear the "uncredited" box, empty the "credited as" field, then re-tick the "uncredited" box and submit the fix? It's especially great since this is EXACTLY how I've been dealing with these since the very day the "credited as" system was introduced: always using the comma in common names, and using "credited as" to indicate whenever someone was credited with the commaless variant.
Moving on: couldn't we deal with the lack or presence of a space - for instance: J.K. Simmons vs. J. K. Simmons - in a similar manner too? | | | | Last edited: by T!M |

I just did what you described in the same profile locally, and it worked exactly as it should. I didn't modify anything before submitting. As it is with you the Credited As box is grayed out for Uncredited. The current profile (UPC: 025195041331) has Downey listed as: Quote:

If the (uncredited) box is checked, it shouldn't put any value in there when it applies the filter.
