Hello,

I got a keep case with 4 movies in.
How do I add it to my collection?
Do I add all 4 movies seperatly by the disc id as childs or should I add the information of all 4 movies to the parent, using dividers for cast and crew?

Grtz,
Mitch.

Child by disc ID... unless all films are on 1 side of 1 disc (yes I have seen this)... then you would do it all in the parent.

I'm a little bit confused on when to use the "Box" case type, exactly. For instance, is this one? It's a cardboard box with a lid that holds nine individual keepcases.

That's definitely a 'box' surely?

Looks like a box to me as well.

Thanks for the quick response.
It's 1 disc for each movie, but I wasn't sure how to add it. Now I know how to do it

What about the StackPack?

I now have a StackPack with UPC#8717344747127 (Jamie in 30 minuten) but I only can add this one as a Keep Case within the database.

To me it looks like a whole different case.

Looks like Keep Case would be right to me... just a different style of keep case.

That's exactly what I thought in the first place but the 'smaller' Keep Cases are called "ThinPack" within the Profiler DB but still is a Keep Case as well.

So since we distinguish the 'smaller' and 'normal' Keep Cases therefore imho I thought that we also can distinguish the StackPack (which is thicker and has a stacking hub) between the 'normal' Keep Case.

Well to do that Invelos would have to put that option in the program. Till they decide to do that... it would just be a keep case.

You're right! I'll surely add this DVD as a Keep Case but I hope this kind of case will be a future addition to DVD Profiler.
Thanks for your response!

Is the clamshell example not wrong? Was always under the impression that this is a clamshell.

What case type should I use for these DVD's? Is this a digipak?

Thanks,
Mitch.

Thanks Pete!

I just didn't saw them.

Hello - any chance to repair the pictures from the first post? As even the contributing rules are linking to this thread this would be very helpful

Where are all the images about the cases?

[b]Hey folks,

here is my attempt to do the new Case Types thread with images, as the old one does no longer have the images.

KEEP CASE:

THINpak: Same as KEEP CASE, only less thick.

DIGIPACK:

SLIP COVER: A slip Cover can be associated with all other cases, just tick the Slip Cover box then.

SLIP CASE: Holds for example 2 or more Keep Cases or THINpaks

STEELBOOK:

Jewel Case:

ENVELOPE:

SNAPPER:

CLAMSHELL:

HD KEEP CASE:

HD SLIM CASE: Same as HD Keep Case, only less thick

Comparison between HD KEEP and HD SLIM: You can see the Slim is thinner.

DRAWER:
A drawer case opens from one or more sides and slides out like a drawer.  The drawer portion remains attached to the case when opened.

DigiBook

Box

CUSTOM:
Everything that does not fit into one of the other categories, for example, wooden boxes, packages with action figures, Tin Cans and much more.

greetings
Donnie

Since the images are parked at a free of charge photo upload service in the cloud, they time out. To keep them up, they'd have to be hosted at Invelos or any other guy around here who has some space free and stable servers...

Carton case, open to the right side, in there to slim dvd cases

What is the right case definition?
