I've used these forums for several years but I still cannot find the logic how posts are marked read. Sometimes they are marked read if I close the browser. Sometimes if I read a looong thread, during that time all other posts are marked read. Sometimes if I read Contribution Rules, use CLT and so on...

In my opinion we would need a button so that user could deside himself when he has written all the topics he wishes. I read other forums which work that way and it's much better.

There's a timeout, something like 20 minutes, after which all posts are marked read while you're on the site.  Visiting the forums and then closing your browser (which flushes temp cookies) also marks them as read.

On a positive note, the site still remembers where you are in each thread so even if you lose the icon, you will still go to where you last read when visiting the forum.

But as far as the idea goes, I like it.  +++

While that is often a good thing, it can be a pain when you WANT to go to the first page of a thread and it takes you to the last one!

Defintitely want to see this added.

And I agree with the good Doctor about being taken to the last read post.  There are some forums I've stopped reading as regular because it's a pain finding where you were up to in a thread.

Press the page number 1 rather then topic name

Actually I've done that a few times before & it's still gone to the last page. Might've been a glitch though but still
