That looks incredible!

I wonder if Ken would allow you to upload it to the Translations section of the website?

The only annoying thing is having to switch translation files when changing databases.

In all honesty I'm not sure I will use Profiler for this...I just wanted to see what it would look like.

I'd definitely fork out the cost of buying an official Invelos version though!!

Hey Neil... how about installing another profiler into a different folder? This way you could have a DVD profiler and  book profiler.

Is it also possible to create one of those special command boot files so a shortcut could be created to open either DVD Profiler or "Book" Profiler?

Bravo Pantheon!

Regardless of whether or not you continue to use it, that looks incredible

Not yet I'm afraid, according to Profiler Helpfile, but maybe we can convince Ken that we need this.
Together with Mediadogg's "MyTools" this could be really fun.

I don't have time to code this right now, but here is what I would do:

(1) Copy your favorite country language to a new file, say "FauxLanguage.dpt"
(2) Set DVDProfiler to use that file, per the instructions a few posts prior
(3) Create a .BAT or .WSF windows script, say "StartDVDPro.bat"
(4) The first and only paramter is the "database name"
(5) Create a command file for each database, such as: OpenDatabase winedb, saved as winedb.txt
(5) Implement the following logic in StartDVDPro.bat:

If parameter = "book"
{
    copy bookdb.dpt onto FauxLanguage.dpt
    start DVDProfiler with /CommandFile=c:\bookdb.txt
}

Else If parameter = "wine"
{
    copy winedb.dpt onto FauxLanguage.dpt
    start DVDProfiler with /CommandFile=c:\winedb.txt
}
Else
{
    copy yourlanguage.dpt onto FauxLanguage.dpt
    start DVDProfiler with /CommandFile=c:\Default.txt
}

I hope this is enough of a clue for somebody to whip this up. There are obviously endless ways to approach the actual code. If not done by the time I get back to town, I'll do it next week.

If someone can tell me how to do it, I will be happy to send them my layout/translation file.

I would love this to become an actuality - it looks terrific.

Of course then I need one for my thousands of vinyl records!

You could try making a feature request for that. Perhaps use the default translation unless a box is checked. If the box is checked you can pick one of the alternatives available. That way once a collection is set up it will automatically switch upon opening that particular database.

No need to send anything. That script is independent of the contents of files. Just a way of switching amoung a set of databases and an associated translation file. Hang tight. One of the gurus will knock it out soon. If not, I'll cobble something together next week.

Cool. Or, make the tramslation file part of the Layout, so it gets loaded automaitically with the database?

The book option that Pantheon came up with looks cool.  I can see myself using that.
