I know in Tim Buton's Corpse Bride, it was based on charactes by him, He also directed, and Produced.
I know Bram Stoker was not involved in the 1992 film, and Mary Shelley could not have been involved with the film Frankenstein (died in 1851)
Is there some standard that can be derived out of all the profiles we have?

Sounds about right to me. I agree. I never use possessives in my local database. I don't care who wrote/produced/directed etc. this film/DVD. I can find that information in the Crew section. I want the title field to actually reflect the title of the film/DVD. |

Actually, we can do whatever Ken decides we can do. The op's question has been answered - the rules currently do not allow the OMB credit based solely on the cover title.
