A fairly short list, but since I have 3 Pete/Peter Smith's in my local, a clear common name is needed.
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0809593/

Peter J. Smith: 1 confirmed
Jagged Edge

Peter Smith: 1 confirmed
The Shawshank Redemption (by Merrik)

Pete Smith: 4 confirmed
Big Trouble (by T!M)
The New Kids (aka Striking Back)(1985)
Night Shift (by T!M)
Seems Like Old Times (by T!M)
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (by RAPMAN)

Peter Lansdown Smith: 9 confirmed
Blind Date (by T!M)
The Bonfire of the Vanities (by me)
Deception (aka Ruby Cairo)
Fat Man and Little Boy (by Rutan)
Going Berserk (by me)
Groundhog Day (by T!M)
Mobsters (1991) (by Merrik)
Nadine (by T!M)
Sliver (by Merrik)
Tequila Sunrise (by RAPMAN)
My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT.
FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that.
Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it!

Big Trouble: Pete Smith.
Blind Date: Peter Lansdown Smith.
Fandango: Peter Lansdown Smith.
Groundhog Day: Peter Lansdown Smith.
Nadine: Peter Lansdown Smith.
Night Shift: Pete Smith.
Seems Like Old Times: Pete Smith.

It's interesting to note that IMDb (and thus, no surprise there, our CLT numbers too) spell it "Landsdown", while it's really always "Lansdown" on the screen (when he's not just credited as "Pete(r) Smith", that is). So 23 titles/133 profiles (way more than any of the other name variant) for the IMDb-mined name variants that doesn't ever appear on-screen...

Hooooooooooooooooooold on there!  All 5 of the remaining credits could go to Pete Smith, so I'm not calling it yet.

Took some doing to get them, but here they are!

Sliver: Peter Lansdown Smith (Art Director)
Jagged Edge: Peter J. Smith (Art Director)

I do believe it's safe to call the official winner now!

Fandango: Peter Lansdown Smith (Art Director)

And just a small update to the original CLT numbers for Peter Lansdown Smith & Peter Landsdown Smith:

Peter Lansdown Smith: 8/45 --> 9/117
Peter Landsdown Smith: 22/129 --> 11/38

The incorrect (and non-existent) name is still in the lead at the moment, but I've just about got it eliminated. Got some more updates just submitted that should go through in about a week that should, if nothing else, bring the incorrect name down below the correct name in the CLT results.

And the CLT results now accurately reflect the common name.

I was able to get Peter Landsdown Smith down to a count of 3/4, which will be 2/3 in a day or so, because of one more pending update. I unfortunately can't update the last two profiles (Seems Like Old Times & Deception [aka Ruby Cairo]) but a CLT count of 2/3 is a whole crapload better than 22/129 which is where we started!
The night is calling. And it whispers to me soflty come and play.
