Just take a look at the screenshots in this thread and you will see that many of the listed movies have accented characters in capitalized credits for other members of the cast but not for Theky Karyo. So this is not an "invented" common name! | | | Recently bought films:

For ateo357, I have a list of nearly 1500 names to butcher... to play for the rest of your life... Since you keep all your data local and you do not accept changes for profiles your only reason for making this post is to troll for a reaction and that is uncalled for. We already know you do not agree with the Invelos database definition of a common name, being the name they are most commonly credited. Based on this definition the change made was correct and you are incorrect from the perspective of what is stored in online database. But again you keep everything local and do not accept these types of updates, so why do you care and continue to make posts like this. Having a disagreement on the Invelos definition of a common name is fine since you have the option (and you use it) of doing whatever you want locally. Just look at "Jacquou le croquant" screen captures (previous page of this thread): opening credits have Tchéky Karyo in small letters, correctly accented. So the credit maker is "supposed" to know correct spelling. Nevertheless, end credits in capitals have no accent on E for Tchéky, but correct accent for Marie-Josée and Gérald. Therefore it is not the case that the reason for the missing accents in the credits is actually that they are written in all caps but that the filmmakers decide not to write them. It is not possible for us to know for every language in the world how the names are correctly spelled and we can never make sure how a person is actually called without having his/her passport in our hands.
