There is a neat little batch file for doing the image copy and they shoudl have alway been on the SD card. Now if you want I am sure you could pull teh SD card throw it into a reader on your pc and copy over the images.

Some you also shoudl recall if you have a lot of wish list or things that are not part of your collection it will transfer every front image thumb nail and ALL full size images. So in my case it pushed a few hundred extra imgaes that I didnt need forthe software, not a huge issue but if you are on a small SD card you may want to watch you image count.

here is the bat file I use, you will need to make sure paths are correct for your set up

-=-=-=-=-=-=-
rem THIS SHOULD BE THE LETTER OF YOUR DEVICE WHEN MOUNTED AS A DISK
set dev=k

rem THIS MUST BE THE PATH OF YOUR INVELOS  DATABASE IMAGE
set db=C:\Users\Robert\Documents\DVD Profiler\Databases\Default\Images

rem create the directory
if not exist "%dev%:\droid_dvdp\NUL" mkdir "%dev%:\droid_dvdp\"

copy "C:\collection.xml" "%dev%:\droid_dvdp\collection.xml"
robocopy "%db%" "%dev%:\droid_dvdp\images" /MIR
pause
-=-=-=-=-

I have the {copy "C:\collection.xml" "%dev%:\droid_dvdp\collection.xml"} rem'ed out, I do a manual push for that.

Works great for images and when you update the collection file

The new version with Droid DVD Exported plugin will also copy pictures on the device (only changed), so you'll don't need this old batch file to do it. I'm not good in windows installers, and I know the plugin must be registrered to be recognized by DVD Profiler.

Sorry for alpha testers, but there will be no version before a week if everthing works fine.

The conversion of the DB is almost done (some datatypes mismatches). I'll start the picture copy / update.

This time, I've got more feedback from testers, and I'm quite happy, even if there are still some problems.

Hey you are making good updates and doing solid work.

Its better than anything else out there I was using, only thing I kinda miss is a title search option, but we know where you are on that so no worries.

Can't wait for the plug in to test.

Thanks again :D

Some time ago, Ken recommended the installer he uses. Several of us use that one with good results. I now have my scripts set up to automatically uninstall the old DLL and reinstall in a non-verbose way, just like DVDP. If you want a sample script and some tips, PM me.

With a script, you can check for dependencies, optionally present a EULA and other cool stuff.

Have you tried to push the hardware search button within Droid DVDP ? It's still a little buggy, but sometimes it works

I forgot to put a 'software' button as recommended by the android SDK.

The versionis nearly ready, but I've some problem with the install program to register the DLL so it can be 'recognized' by DVD Profiler as a plugin. It seems that Microsoft installer fails to register it, and I'm having problems with nullsoft installer. I HATE INSTALLERS

But I won't give up ...

Hi there,

A little post to keep you informed :

Bad news : The alpha team is full now, please don't as anymore to participate
Good news : with the help of RobAGD, the install has made a great step. It nearly works.

As I said before, it will be ready in a few days... but less days than a few days ago . I hope I'll can send the new install the a few alpha before this end of the week, and the public beta for next week if everything goes ok.

Thank you all.

But I won't give up ...

You didn't want to use the one Invelos uses? (Innosetup)

I mean we have scripts that work with that one. I offered before.

One thing I found out is that DVD Profiler remembers every instance of a registration. So, it is always best to uninstall the old registration to avoid confusion.

I have recently started changing my scripts to automatically and silently unregister old copies of the dll.

Maybe this info helps a bit.

Yes it is totally free (donations also accepted).

The GUI will allow you to set up the intsallation very easily, and I will PM you some script code that some of us use to check for .NET 2.0 and to automatically uninstall before intsalling the new dll.

Edit: I see you got it working. Great!

I manage to make it work, and install the plugin in invelos dvd profiler plugin directory (in fact in a sub directory of plugins).

I'm just adding some debug information and save debug to a file, and the next version will be sent to alpha for last tests befor beta public release.

Thanx for reading.

Olivier.
