Ken, I believe this has been asked before, but anyway. In Finland the movie ratings have changed, actually couple of years ago. The current ratings are:

3  (this one replaces S/T)
7  (replaces K7)
11  (replaces K11)
13  (new rating)
15  (replaces K15)
18  (replaces K18)

The rating system can only have 5 ratings, this has been discussed here...
...and here is a poll which 2 should be combined.

Ken, thanks for the updates on Korean ratings. However, Restricted is coming up as adult. It should be "Restricted".

Thank you,

In order to support standardized parental control, Adult is always "Adult", then translated into the local installation language.

Ken...
Would it be any problem to add TV Ratings to Region 1 US?...

TVY - All Children
TVY7 - This program is designed for children age 7 and above.
TVG - General Audience
TVPG - Parental Guidance Suggested
TV14 - Parents Strongly Cautioned
TVMA - Mature Audience Only

I am getting more and more releases with the actual TV Ratings.. would really be helpful.

The only way currently would be to create a fake locality for it, which isn't ideal.  A general expansion of the ratings system to support variations within locality would be better.

I understand Ken... yeah wouldn't really want to see a fake locality for it... hopefully you can make it work the other way before too long

I see. But Restricted in Korea is equivalent to NC-17. Would that still be the case? I think Restricted sort of slots between 18 and Adult, because restricted is not pornographic.

PANIC! Well, maybe.
DVD Profiler 2.x had the following naming convention for the localities. Everything is peachy except for
32 - Argentina
which a) seems to be lost altogether, and b) the 32 is Czech Republic in 3.0.1

Is this a glitch or on purpose?

I finally located the missing Thailand ratings system.  They are:

G
PD-14
R-14

I finally located their presence on the DVD Cover.  In the corner, within the certification area, there is often a simple R or P to designate the ratings.

The ratings system for India is:

A
G
U
UA
Unrated

Aargh, I think I made a mistake. I apologize, Ken, but hopefully you can be bothered with this:

Taiwan:

R - Restricted category (People under 18 years old must not view) -> currently set to "Adult", which looks rather weird, wouldn't the MPAA's R be equivalent...?

But this post made me think:

I am not sure how it is "mapped" now, so maybe no adjustment is necessary, but I want to make sure:
According above description of the Taiwanese rating system, their "R" for Restricted should rather be NC-17 than R.

The actual naming as you have implemented now, thanks again for that, is correct.

The ratings are:

    * U
    * 18SG
    * 18SX
    * 18PA
    * 18PL

I've reverted 32 to Argentina, added Czech as 33, and added Malaysia, India, and Thailand.  Download the latest online profile list to get them.  Previously Argentina profiles will revert, but Czech profiles will become Argentina and will have to be changed via DVD->Change Locality.

Thanks for the catch, Mithi.

Fantastic!  Now all we need is Thai in the language section and we're complete.

Ken, I've already submitted a number of Czech titles. Should I re-submit them or will you convert them at your end? I had a look through the 52 profiles currently listed under Argentina and they are all Czech so it should be safe to move them now before true Argentinian profiles start to appear.

Thanks!
