I would like to make some minor adjustments to the default layout. I remember doing this in an earlier version, but it doesn't seem to be possible anymore.

Specifically, I'd like the "General Info" window to display the Original title, too (I know I can simply turn that on in the options, but that setting also goes for the "Collection List" window, which I'd prefer to be concise, i.e. only the local title).

It appears to me, I'd have to re-build the whole window from scratch as a HTML-Window, without being able to use the default one as a template. Or is there any other way I'm not seeing?

Make your changes in the default. Then just View -> Save Layout  -> and choose another filename. I usually just add a date in YYMMDD format.

Yeah, but how? I can load, save and lock the layout, but the only place where I can find an "edit" option is in the HTML Windows menu point.

I'm afraid you cannot edit the default windows.

I don't know a way to edit the default-layouts either.

As for "starting from scratch" ... you could download e.g. 'Pantheon's Showroom (v 3.0.0)' and in the View -> HTML Windows -> Edit go to File -> Import from Layout. That would give you at least a head-start and something to copy the syntax from.

View -> View all panel handles to drag stuff around. View columns to change what is listed and how. I guess my needs were simple, worked for me. Liz

Re-arranging works, yes. But Anca1agon wanted to do something that would require to really edit the content of those windows.

Hmm yeah, that sounds like a good idea.

Thanks.
