Hello,

Like everyone else, I have waiting for an Android version of DVD Profiler forever, having been a registered user for years.

I purchased the app in the Amazon store for my Kindle HD 8.9, and have not been able to get far at all. When I do my initial sync, whether it be from PC or internet (and each time after failure I have removed the app from my device), I consistently get the message that DVD Profiler has stopped when downloading the online / pc profiles. The result is a partial download of my collection (about 1/3 of it), and no images. Very frustrating. I've also done a database repair, but that should have nothing to do with it since it happens on syncing from Online as well.

Any help is appreciated.

I had similar troubles with my initial sync with my phone. I never tried using the online collection to sync, only my local collection. When I tried connecting via network name, I had lots of trouble connecting. Using the IP address seemed to correct the connection issue. Your IP address should be displayed on the bottom of the DVD Profiler window (if not, go to Tools > Options > Sharing). Once connected and you begin the initial sync, don't let anything interfere with the process...don't try to do anything else on the Kindle, don't let the screen turn off, nothing. Once I figured this out, after several failed syncs when I let the screen turn off, it synced fine...but it will take quite a while depending on your collection size. After you complete the somewhat lengthy initial sync, subsequent syncs should only take under a minute.

Thanks, Eagle.
I'll give it a shot, but I am a bit skeptical, as there is always SOMETHING running in the background on the Kindle. I don't believe the screen blacked out while doing a synch, but I'll extend the timeout on the display.

Ugh.

Frustrating. Kept the screen alive and didn't do anything else. Same results.

Bump.

Frustrating that I haven't heard from Invelos on this. I even opened up a support ticket. I'd even be willing to try the app on my Android phone, but I shouldn't have to buy the app, in my opinion.

I SO want this to work.

So I just got a tablet a mid-756, it's not fast.  But it was cheap and it works if your not in a hurry.  I also have a Samsung s3.  So a long time ago I bought the android version and put it on the s3 and everything worked fine.  But now I'm trying to install profiler on the tablet and I'm getting the same errors as the rest of the folks in this thread.  I must have tried to download from invelos DB about thirty times and it always freezes and crashes before finishing.  Sometimes it loads some data (without images and never more than half), but mostly it just freezes and then eventually crashes.  I say crashes, but all I know is when I return to look at it, it's not running the profiler app and is in the app browser.

Over 9 months without a response, even if my issue cannot be fixed.

That's ridiculous.

Tell me something, give me something. Even if it's the Android version instead of the Kindle version.
