Hello.

I´ve tryed to download my dvd profiler database to my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 but it allways stopped.

On my mobile I have installed DVD Profiler Version 1.0.1 build 29 and on my pc version 3.8.2 build 1542.

I´ve tried to download my database by connecting to my pc with wifi and also directly with cabel (local and online database). I´ve used the settings shown in the FAQ and turned of my firewall.

When the download started to my mobile, I get a connection and "Reading Database" is completed. When it begins with "Copying Profiles" it stopps and I get the message "DVD Profiler was stopped". Than I have the choise to push two bottoms, 1. Send a report 2. Ok. When I click "Ok" DVD Profiler closes.

I tried this many times with the same result at local and online database.

Please can somebody help me? I´ve tried to contact invelos directly but I got no answer.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Steps for initial download:

1) Perform a database repair (Menu: Tools -> Options -> Utilities -> Repair Database)
2) The app needs exclusive access to the WiFi-connection so temporarily disable all Auto-Updates
3) For the same reason disable all other scheduled online access (e.g. Weather, E-Mail, etc)
4) Make sure your PC security software allows all incoming connections to DVDProfiler
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Hello Lewis_Prothero.

Thank you for your response.
I repaired my database on the PC, on my mobile I disabled all auto-updates and all other online accesses and I made shure that my security software allows all incoming connections to DVDProfiler. It doesn´t work. I´ve got still the same result I´ve explained before. I´ve tried it with WiFi-connection and cabel-connection.
Have you any other idea?

Is "Sharing" enabled on your PC (DVDProfiler menu: Tools -> Options -> Shared)?

Could be that there is something wrong with this profile.

1) Create a backup of your complete database
2) delete the profile which doesn't get synched
3) Retry to synch

If it works:

1) Restore the backup
2) Synch again now with the complete database

Hey man, you are the best.

You are right. I did it the way you wrote and it works. The only thing I do different was that I have not restore my backup. I insert the deleted profile new. Have no idea what was wrong with this one profile but now everything is fine and I have all my profiles on my mobile with all details and all coverscans.

Thank you so so much for your help. Thank you!!!

I now upload my database to Invelos Online, then created a database in Android and downloaded from Online. It worked much better than direct sync. I don't know if there is a downside to it... Is there?

No custom covers.
All else should be identical.

It worked fine on my note 3, but it freezes if I give another program focus. I have to leave DVD Profiler up front until it completes.
