Disable T9 on your device

For some reason the password-field of the Invelos site is not recognized correctly by some devices. Therefore your input will be automatically transformed if T9 is enabled.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

It was suggested in this group to contact the Beta forum and I did but still no luck.-------------------------=======================================I am back.  I apologize in advance....

Not to re-hash but just to get all of the ducks in one post.
I have a laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

  1.  I enter new DVDs into the laptop (PC) and sync with my online profile.

  2.  Once the online data is updated, I sync my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with the online information to keep this device up to date.... when I'm shopping and Hubby says... do we have, I can quickly look it up... we have over 2000 DVD/BluRays  I sure as heck can't remember them all.  THIS WORKS FLAWLESSLY

  3.  NOW I am trying to also sync my Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 with the online data so it too is updated when discs are added.  I CANNOT GET A CONNECTION TO THE ONLINE DATA

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

      A.  I create  a database on the Tab and name it as my database is named and set it up to sync online, I then am prompted to enter login information and it says a successful connection has been made.

      B.  I select to update the database and am immediately prompted for the login information again and it has been saved from the test login, so nothing has changed ... it shows the window that a connection is being made, the screen changes from landscape to portrait with the login screen still visible.  It does not connect.

===========================
It was suggested that I try syncing with the PC instead, yeahsureright.... well I need help there with a bit more information than the help shows.  How do I do this?  The program is setup and the status information in the program shows my computer name and IP address, the Port number (default) and 0 Connections
===========================

I enabled Wi-Fi on my PC...  My Tab is a Wi-Fi only tab and is connected to our home Wi-Fi network already, same as the laptop then.  I have a hardwire for the laptop and usually do not enable Wi-Fi unless traveling, so please see my confusion below:

Connect to PC .... Via USB???  Via Wi-Fi????
I entered the IP address and it tells me it cannot connect, so I then entered my PC name and get the same error.    In my Intel Wi-Fi software it shows my computer name as  Laurie-MSI-40490  Hmm is the 40490 the port?  Should I change this?  Nope...

UNABLE TO CONNECT PLEASE VERIFY SETTINGS..... same as always

So... do I connect via my USB cable to my PC?  If so, then what do I do to connect the Tab version of the software with the database on my PC.

I know what it is SUPPOSED to do and how it is SUPPOSED to look when connecting online because I have done this with all of my past devices .... but it does not work with the Tab S  and I have absolutely NO IDEA how to connect to the PC... not with the Phone or the Tablet because I have no clue what I am doing or what I should be doing.

Please please please help... what a Christmas Gift this would be... as I have now been trying to get this to work just 4 days shy of 5 months now.

Thank you all in advance... all.

If I have confused anyone with this post but you think you might be able to help please read the previous posts.

Does anyone else out there have a Tab S and does it work for you???

Yes, the Galaxy Tab S works fine.

On your Galaxy, open the web browser. Enter the ip address and port as shown on the bottom bar of DVD Profiler for Windows in the following format: http://[IP]:[port]

For instance, if you see "Shared on 'Name' (192.168.1.10), port 32847, you would enter http://192.168.1.10:32847

What is the result?

It does not connect taking too long for a response.    If the Tab S is compatible why in the world won't it sync with my online database.

I really have no clue how to Co figure the computer to accept a connection as we have a secure network and it is not set up for remote connecting.  I don't want to open it up for just anyone to get in.  Sigh.

  It should be able to connect like my note 3 if it is compatible as you say.

If the browser is unable to connect, then the problem is not related to the DVD Profiler app on your Galaxy.

Are the note 3 and galaxy both connecting to the exact same wifi connection? Check whether one is on a guest network instead.

Someone asked me to try to connect to the PC... as a work around for syncing online.. it does not work, It probably takes tweaking on my PC.  The important things here are as follows:

1.  I originally wrote because my Tab S will not connect to the Online Database to sync and I asked if it was compatible.

2.  In your previous posted you stated it is indeed compatible... so here is where there is a disconnect.  I do not want to have to use my PC to sync with, I want the ability to sync online.  So we are back to

WHY am I unable to sync to my online database to update my Tab S?
I create a database using the same name as my database actually is.
It prompts to TEST & SAVE my login, I do this... it connect successfully.

Now with a new empty database of the same name as the one online, I select the type of database as Sync with my online profile and it prompts me to log in... Mind you the login is TESTED & SAVED "Successfully" so I log in (using landscape mode) it tries to connect ... changes to portrait mode and I'm unable to log in or do anything the same login page is there it only changed orientation and will not connect, it will not go back, I have to actually close the app to get out of the screen.

I do not see the screen which prompts if I want to upload or download the database with the progress of showing images etc syncing, I NEVER get that far, it is hung up on the actually login after it has already been tested and verified upon creation.

What give here?  Forget logging into the PC, I do not have it set up as a server (IIS) set up or any such thing.

My laptop/pc is hard wired to the router I actually don't USE the Wi-Fi on the laptop/pc so there is probably a log I have to configure that I just don't see having to do to just "test" any type of connection a connection that I do not wish to perform.

I just want to simply open DVD Profiler, go to Databases, see the grey bar with my database listed and tell it to update.... this is should be our focus.

I honestly think that after all of these forum messages back and forth, I really just wish to SPEAK to someone, I really wish to "Call support" and resolve this while its happening.

Please please please help...

PC CONNECTION RESOLVED!!!

I disabled my personal firewall for a short time and tried to connect... SUCCESS!
I created a rule in the Personal Firewall settings to add dvdprofiler.exe and set it to allow.  SUCCESS!

However, I sure would like an explanation as to why I'm unable to sync online.
Does anyone have any sort of explanation?
I still consider this a "work around" for the actual issue....
PRIME DIRECTIVE - CONNECT & SYNC with ONLINE PROFILE.

Thank you.
Thank you EVERYONE who has helped thus far.

I have a Samsung Glaxay Tab Pro 4 12.2 and was able to get the app installed and sync both to the PC and to the online database. It's the same sign in as to your online profiler.

If you still can't sync try creating a rule for your network firewall to open up the the website here. This is on a hunch that something between you and Invelos is stopping the digital conversation with the database. IF that doesn't help, be sure to remove the rule to close the firewall back up.

Thank you for the recommendation.  I am able, on my network, to sync with both my pc & Note 3.  For this reason I do not wish to adjust my. Settings to my firewall..... I do not believe the firewall to be the issue.  I have.  "Accepted" the fact that I can only sync with my pc & not online.  But hey, I do appreciate the feedback.  Sincerely.....
