As a long time owner of the Windows version I was excited to hear that there was a mobile version for Android.

From what I am reading ... here and reviews on the Play store ... sounds like I should hold off on spending my 6.99 until the app is worthy of that kind of $$$ ?

Not a lot of positive reviews ....

I have been using it since it first came out and have no problems with it at all. The only con is that it's not easy to get connected, but once you do, it works great. If you decide to buy, learn how to use the WiFi connection and remember you have to keep the desktop program open. The first time you connect, it will take a long time to download your collection.

Tip – Make the connection with only DVDP running and walk away from your computer until it's done. Depending on the size of your collection, speed of your computer, your phone and bandwidth of your connection it can take several hours. Bottom line don't do anything else on your computer until it's finished.

Enjoy!

It always amazes me that people who don't bat an eye at a $100 a month phone bill balk at a $6.99 app that works as advertised.

Thanks Scott,
I'm not sure I would have been as polite.

Having said that, it's worth more than $6.99 to have my database on my phone. We just went through Holiday season. I was able to check what I had in my collection, or what I had ordered.
Amazon doesn't do free returns if you screw up and duplicate order!
And if you're in a big box store, or just Wal-Mart in the $7.88 bin, it's nice to check if you already have a version of a title.
If you link this with the blu-ray.com app for reviews and ratings, your golden.

As for syncing, I have approx. 1150 titles (I'm not sure what the disk count is), and the last full sync from scratch I did wi-fi took about 45 minutes.  That is with cover size set to the lowest large setting.

I'm in the beta test group, and the beta's are fairly stable.
Your choice. I feel it was money well spent.

Same here.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
