I am tired of spending hours looking for the DVD Ii want to watch. So I searched for a good database to put my DVD's in so I can find the one DVD I want to watch in a few minutes and put it back when done. My main DVD collection has 1000 DVDs in it. That is 4 racks with 7 shelves. Everyone told me DVD profiler was the best.  I looked it up, It has everything and even runs and syncs to both my PC and iPhone.  Well on the PC and ios it displays everything you wanted to know about each DVD except the location. After a week of looking for the location. The only place I could find is where you edit Personalize DVD. Until in the forums I found someone who wrote a script to put the Location and Slot in a window on the main PC menu. It is nice to have all the information but does no good if you can not find the DVD.

I have not yet found the Location and Slot information on my iPhone. Every time I have tried to find it I manage to lock the app where it stops responding then goes black.  I can close the app and use other apps but when I go back in it is still black. To get the app working again I have to turn off my iPhone and then turn it back on and the app is working again.

Need a locate button

There is no button to quickly get you the info, but it is there. Open the profile of a disc, scroll down to 'other' - 'discs' and then choose the individual disc to view the location info.

That said, it would be good if location info would be available for each profile and not only for each disc in a profile. I think most people will keep the case with all discs in the same spot and don't take out the individual discs to put them in different locations.

Thanks for the info, but still they can put the purchased and other data on the main screen then they can put the location on it. After all the main reason to have a database is to make it easy to find what you want. My wife tried using my iPhone to find the DVD she wanted to watch and blamed me because their was no location listed by the picture. I told her their was a way I just needed to find out what it is. Her reply was have them put it next to the picture. She only likes technology when it is simple and does what she wants it to.
