Anybody know why? It used to work (last time i used it was a year back i think) but now doesn't. DVD Profiler just doesn't show the drive having a disc inside. Windows recognizes that it has a disc inside, but when i open it, its just empty and says to drag/drop files there
I might have changed the sata -cable places on the motherboard, but can that really make a difference?

Could be that DVD Profiler doesn't know the drives location because of that.
Did you try "Tools -> Options -> System" and made sure that the drive is selected right?

Maybe you need to install a UDF-Driver:

Yes, i changed it as the default drive from options but no difference. I have Windows 7, so i assume i wouldn't need that program?
I've never actually used the BD drive (apart from DVDP) so its hard to actually test if it works on other programs. Does anyone know a good Blu Ray Player? been meaning to get one eventually anyway.

Edit: after installing the trial version of AnyDVD, DVDP now recognizes the discs.

Yup, had that too a few days ago. Found a workaround though.

What doesn't work: From the edit window trying open the drive with the open drive button, insert, then read the disc that you inserted when that edit window is open. Message: no disk or something alike.

What does work: just have DVDp in 'rest', that is no edit window or whatever open. Open the BD drive (the usual button at the front panel), insert the disk and close. The drive will now spin, the system recognises the BD drive and disk and DVDp tries to recognise the disk. Does not matter. Now open the edit window at the appropriate profile and you can read the disk ID.

All Blu-ray's have copy protection. To get all functionalities with no problems you need to install AnyDVD HD on your computer. This does crack away the copy protection and then you should have no prolbem. You can buy AnyDVD HD here:

There's no need to buy any third-party software (that removes copy restrictions from Blu-ray media) to use DVD Profiler, the fault is yours.

This did the trick, thanks
