Wouldn't this be a great example of a nice plugin. Direct link to Oscars, Golden Globes aso.

Yes, that's a great idea!

But somehow, I have a feeling this is already happening. If I was Tom Gaines, how could I resist the urge to get my hands on the Profiler SDK and modify my application to work with it

I have already registered for the plugin forum and I am thinking about making an award browser plugin.

This is, because the XML has slightly changed in the current beta.
But I will wait until version 3.0.2 is officially released before I'll release another version.

Hey Tom, the screenshots for this look great buddy.

Now when it comes to stuff like this I am a complete Noob I was hoping you could get me started.

Ok, downloaded the program off your site opened the .exe and then when it said loading I waited about 5 minutes and thought nothing was gonna happen, so I hit "New" and it opeded up an empty database. Once I was there I opened up DVD-P and exported the xml.collection then imported to CCV and then I thought I was getting somewhere

It lists all my profiles, and the awards worked good for me. I am still very new to this but 2 things I noticed that were not working for me are Headshots and when I go to Edit>Cross-Link and try to add a new Alias for someone nothing happens.

EDIT: Sorry if this is not the best place to post this, I guess I should of PM'ed

I hope I can eventually get the hang of this, as it is an impressive looking piece of work.

Quoting Deadman36g:

"Tools->Search for new headshots" should download all headshots, which are available in the headshot online pool (managed by MadAcid). You can also copy headshots into the .\Images\Headshots folder yourself (I recommend to use "Tools->Headshot Import Wizard". With it you can copy images as alternatives to existing headshots).

It isn't as intuitive as it used to be. You first have to add a CommonName. Then you can assign alias names to it.
You can also double-click on a cast or crew member in the main window (or via context menu) and enter a common name for them.

No, it's alright. This way also others can see questions answered, they maybe themselves have.
I know I lack proper documentation. It is something I do not like to do
If somebody wants to open up a wiki, I would welcome it

EDIT: Maybe better to continue in this thread
