Hope someone can help...

Whenever I click on the trailer button it brings up the trailer window just fine but just shows a black screen in the window instead of playing the trailer.

I tried the usual of closing profiler...doing a database repair... and even rebooting the entire computer with no luck.

Any ideas?
Pete

That is about when I first noticed it as well. Kept meaning to post about it but haven't had the chance.

It appears DVD Profiler is relying on the Adobe flash browser plugin.  Most browsers are moving away from flash in favor of HTML5.

DVD Profiler uses your default browser and when I copy the URL from that popup window and paste it into the browser I get the same issue (black screen) in Edge.

I also visit Blu-ray.com and for the longest time adobe flash YouTube videos wouldn't load in Chrome since I have the plug-in disabled even though I have my settings for Google set to default to HTML5.  Within the last week, those embedded YouTube videos are now working and seem to default to HTML5.  Maybe it's just a coincidence.

If I remember correctly the trailer window in profiler does not use the default browser (in my case (Waterfox)...it uses IE. Almost positive Ken stated that at one point. So far I have found the links in profiler work in every browser I have installed. Just do not work in profiler itself.

I am the first to admit I am confused on the subject. I am wondering if it is something I need to do on my side... or if it is something Ken has to fix. Which would really suck!

Same here.  Black screen on that link, but Flash is working fine in every browser.

To narrow this down, please let me know whether this is now working for you, and the version of Windows you're running.

It's working for me now, but it doesn't autoplay.  It loads the trailer and you have to push play.

I'm using the most updated version of Windows 10.
