What does the cover say?

And as far as i remember, if you go with the capitalizing rules of the language the with should be lower case (i believe) as it is neither at the beginning nor a name.

Why don't you just use the Title Capitalization Tool instead of a poll?

Thankfully, that doesn't matter. For titles in the English language, the Capitalization Tool in the contribution rules (on this page) gives you the answer.

The capitalization standard for US titles is AP Style, which does capitalize 'with'.

For us, but the title is Ride with the Devil on IMDb.

I know you're not interested in a serious answer but here it is anyway.

Unlike the German language, English has very few words that are capitalized. But a lower cap title looks odd. That's why there are title capitalization rules.

Unfortunately there is not just one standard but at least four:

Associated Press (AP) Style
American Psychological Association (APA) style
Chicago Manual of Style
Modern Language Association (MLA) Style

Each of them puts a different emphasis on what exactly to capitalize and what not. Some newspapers simply capitalize all letters, even "Of", some stayed with standard English spelling.

Here are some old newspapers:

"For us" is all that matters.  The title on IMDB is irrelevant.

Frankly, I don't want to get into this discussion again.  In the rules forum, we debated on a rule change, and one of the sticking points was the word "with"

The general consensus at the time was to not capitalize the word with, and with a simple majority agreement, presented a rule change to Ken.

Ken acknowledged that a rule change was necessary, but did not adopt our change.  He decided to go a different way, and implement a capitalization tool that is based upon "AP" style.

Having a discussion about "with" at this time is a moot point....

But the production studio (Universal) and the distributor (Criterion) disagree.  Both list the title as "Ride with the Devil".

It doesn't matter what the studio or the distributor list it as.  The rule is 100% clear on this point.  For contribution purposes, we use what is generated by the capitalization tool.
