| Posted: | | | | I'm having the same issue, it's been a while since I updated too, I've added a new router but I don't think that's the issue. |

| Posted: | | | | Since updating to the new version of DVDProfiler, both on Desktop and ipad, I am now getting "unable to connect. Please ensure the DVD Profiler is running and that sharing is active" errors.
Well, DVD Profiler is running and sharing is active.
Never had issues with the previous version so something has changed and I'm now unable to synch.
Anyone have any ideas. I have turned off sharing and restarted it but am still unable to connect. |

| Posted: | | | | Did you update both iOS and Desktop app to version 4? You may need to uninstall and re-install the iOS app and do a full database sync from desktop version 4. |

| Posted: | | | | Is the shared IP and port info showing on the bottom of your DVD Profiler desktop app? Does it match what is on your mobile device settings? |

| Posted: | | | | Have you allowed the Windows DVD Profiler through the Windows Firewall? Upgrading the version changes the signature and Windows will then block it.
To check, try turning the firewall off temporarily and try to connect, if it connects it is the problem above (if you have an AV product installed it might have its own firewall)

| Posted: | | | | I turned the AV software completely off (i'm uisng Kaspersky v17 & it is up to date), but with no effect :-( I believe that it has something to do with the iOS 11 update as I am having a similar sync problem wiht 1Password. A read somethre there is an issue that apps cannot read MAC address anymore with iOS 11.
BTW: The latest update to iOS 11.0.1 didn't help either... Both my iPad Pro (12.9) and iPhone 6 have the same problem. |

| Posted: | | | | I am also having the same problem. I have run a DB repair and the issue still remains. When I upgraded the iOS soft ware, I could sync except for the cover scans. Now, after upgrading to the new Windows version, I cannot sync at all. |

| Posted: | | | | Quoting GSyren: Quote: Farfetched as it may seem, doing a database repair on the PC can sometimes fix a synch connection problem. Always worth trying. That was the right idea. After repairing the DB I could sync both devices as usual Thanks a lot. For others: Before the Repair I also made a reset of my network Settings on iPhone/iPas., but that alone did not work. EDiT 2017/29/9: Didn't work permanently. I tried to sync today again and ii failed again. Even another DB repair helped | | | Last edited: by Morn |

| Posted: | | | | Sorry to hear of your issues Morn. If I can add anything I think might help I'll be sure to chime in. I just upgraded myself to DVD Profiler 4.0.0 Build 1762 and DVD Profiler for iOS 4.0.1 and so far no issues with syncing. In my case I use the mobile app to view my collection only. I don't make any changes from the mobile app. I only bring down changes from PC to mobile. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection |
