Another "Play All" question: I've just encountered a couple of Blu-ray TV disc which don'tt have a "main menu": when you put the disc in, it just automatically starts playing the episodes. So it actually does "play all", but without a "play all" menu option - it just does it, no questions asked. The only way to jump to a different episde is to pull up the Blu-ray's "pop-up"-menu, which then hovers over the playing episode. You can't stop playing and go back to the disc's main menu, as there isn't one. The pop-up-menu contains options for language settings, and the option to jump ahead to a different episode.

Only after the disc has finished playing all the episodes, and following six minutes (!) of copyright warnings, does the disc finally end up on some kind of minimal menu. That's a single static screen showing only a "Play" button and nothing else. Only on *that* page (again: which you only get to see after playing five hours worth of episodes and sitting through six minutes of copyright warnings) there's a "Play" button, which starts playing the complete run of episodes again.

Now: does that qualify for "Play All"?

How else would you describe that feature if not "Play All"?

We need a Forced Play All and an Optional Play All feature.

That isn't a "Play All" function - it's the lack of a "Scene Access".

Mind you I consider the whole "Play all" thing an irrelevance which is rapidly clogging up the Contributions list with untold entries most people may well not care about (no offence TiM) so obviously my judgement is suspect in the extreme

Yea, I kinda agree with this.  "Play All" is a feature you can choose, this is the lack of any features.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

A poorly implemented feature is still a feature.
