Yet another "Play All" question: from what I understand, this is meant for TV episodes, but does it apply to music DVD's as well? Here's two scenarios I encountered:

1. A full-length concert registration. Usually, the menu of such discs have some kind of "Play" button that plays the entire show, and then an option to go to a certain song within that show. This, to me, seems like a film with chapters, so something where I'd check "Scene Selection", but not "Play All". Agreed?

2. A DVD comprising of a number of music videos, that can be accessed individually, or played together through some form of play all-button. With these being individual productions, they seem closer to "episodes", and I'm more inclined to check "Play All". Agreed?

The problem with the first scenario, full-length concert registrations, is that I've already encountered examples where the "play" button that actually plays the entire show is literally called "play all". I'm sure that'll mean that someone along the way will check the box. So do we consider a full-length concert registration divided into chapters as one long main feature with scene selection, or do we consider the songs as some kind of "episodes", and do we check "play all" instead?

If something is a concert, then the 'play' function would be the same as on a feature film, so I wouldn't check the 'play all' box, but I would on a DVD containing music videos.

I would say I agree with this.

That should have said 'play all', not 'ideal', so now amended!

This is how I saw it as well, but since there are feature-length concert registrations where the menu actually has a button that's literally named "Play All", rather than say "Play" or "Play Concert", we really need the contribution rules to address this. Else, if the menu has a button called "Play All", we're going to see users checking that box. So the rules on the "Play All" feature need to include a line like:

Don't check the "Play All" feature checkbox for concert registrations.

Although the rules to seem to make common sense, they also need to be more specific so they can be properly quoted during contributions and votes against contributions with a misuse of the checkbox.

To me, a concert film, whether music, sport or comedy, is a like a movie, with a single main feature separated into chapters but a music video compilation is more like TV show as the titles on basket can be watched individually or sequentially.

Agreed. A music video compilation could also be compared to a compilation of shorts.
