How to update Android Profiler app purchased on Amazon?

I read in a post in the invelos forums that "there are no dumb questions".  With that encouragement, I ask - how does one update a Android Profiler app that was purchased on Amazon?

I have DVD Profiler on PC and updated from 3.9 to 4.0.  Then when I tried to sync with DVD Profiler on Android (1.2.5), I got "Unfortunately, DVD Profiler has stopped".  I understand from reading the invelos forum that I need to update the Android app also but I don't see how that's done.  I read that if purchased from Google Play, there's an update option under MyApps.  However, I purchased from Amazon and, while the app is shown under MyApps, I see no update facility.  What have I missed?

It should update automatically, but yry opening the Amazon Underground app if it's not. You ma need to tell it to.

Ace_of_Sevens: Thank you for the suggestion.  I hadn't tried the Amazon Underground. I have now but no luck.  It knows me, has me signed on, and knows that I bought DVD Profiler on Android (i.e., lists it under MyApps), but I cannot find an update option any where.

I've also tried the AppStore app.  It takes me to the same place Amazon Underground took me and also no update option in sight.

Any thing more you could add that might get me to an update option?

Ace_of_Sevens: With your encouragement, I continued to try various approaches to this problem and have now finally succeeded in solving it.  Before you came along, I had put in many hours on this with no help from Amazon (tried there about 6 times) and no responses to the query I put on one of the other invelos topics and was close to giving up.  So, thank you again.

The problem, put simply, was that I needed to update my copy of Amazon Underground.  I bought DVD Profiler Android back in May 2016 and was required to download Amazon Underground at that time.  Although this is a phone that I have these on, I don't have cell service on it.  It's just used by DW as a mini tablet and only for the movie list so she doesn't buy duplicates.  The point is, there are no other apps on this tablet so I've had no reason to update anything until last month when I updated DVD Profiler on my PC to 4.0 and found out that the Android app needed to be updated too.

I suppose most people will not run into this problem because they will have already updated their Amazon Underground app to keep up with their other apps.
