so I'll be notching a number 'off my bucket List' next Week.. |

| | Posted: | | | | At my age I never really go anywhere too far .. But next weekend My daughter has put together a family trip for five of us to the Playa Del Carmen area to one of the all inclusive resorts south of Cancun Mexico....
I dunno I guess I should be excited to go.. but as usual I'm as grumpy to myself as
1. The 14 day weather report shows rain every day and sometimes storms! but still 88 degrees
2. What am I going to Eat? its all inclusive but am worried about food poisoning..
3. The water? should I have ice or not??? what about bathing and brushing teeth??
4. The trip plus expenses is astronomical and I don't want to be like Felix Unger ..

| | Posted: | | | | so I'm Back .. weather never rained once except for 3 minutes .. Staff and resort were wonderful .. all the tourists I spoke to maybe 100 .. almost all of them were from Canada and nearby my own town ..
flight was Looong over 6 hours cramped WestJet provided their wifi and a multitude of Movie and TV shows which we could wifi to our devices and the built in plugs in the seat in front provide extended power .. The Over all wifi free in the resort was mainly ok.. but there were daily occurrence of a blackout of wifi for maybe up to an hour.. guess they reboot the Big router ..
went into PlaydeCarmen with the wife for a day of shopping and browsing but you get attacked at every single stand up and down the street to buy to buy to buy.. Scared us off where we jumped a cab and hit the local Walmart for their souvenirs and no hassles.. and interesting note about Netflicks .. We all know about the differance in the movie list titles between Canada and USA .. and the abilty of Netflicks of downloading titles to playback with no wifi o nyour device .. The couple chapters I had of the HBO miniseries Fargo ( on Netflicks 2014/2015) they played fine on the plane .. but with wifi connected in our room in Mexico /Usa They would not play unless I disconnected wifi .. ( not authorized) That was news to me .. so after a week of 30 plus temps I am back to 4- 5 Celsius ... I cut my winter by 1 week !
any way my bucket list is 1 shorter and on to the next ones .....
