I keep running into problems like this. Someone enters a disc profile online but does not include the additional discs in the "box set". I just purchased the first 7 seasons of "Suits". Season One was there showing all 3 discs, but Season 2 shows only the one disc. I'm trying to add the remaining 3 discs so my database is correct. I've tried "adding from inserted disc", but I keep getting the error the title is already part of my collection. I feel there should be some way within this program that is simple to "create" a "blank" entry, then copy and paste the profile from another disc. I've tried "adding" a title from a movie I don't actually have, then copy/paste, but then online it shows that title is now part of my collection, even though I've changed the title and all aspects of it. This little problem is putting me behind on my updates as new titles are added frequently.

Please someone help.

Thanks

You need to impregnate the parent profile, then induce labor. Continue to do this until the parent profile has given birth to the number of child profiles you need.  It's so easy a caveman could do it.  Instructions provided below.  Have fun!

Highlight the main (parent) profile, then select the File Menu option, "DVD > Change UPC / Locality > Select/Create Alternate Version > Create New Alternate Version (with "Retain existing entry and create a clone" checked), then click OK.

A duplicate of the profile will be created, the UPC ID showing a #1 after it. (The File Menu option, "Tools > Display > Show UPC/Disc ID variant numbers" must be enabled to see this.) Highlight that profile, make sure Disc 1 is inserted in your DVD/Blu-ray drive, hit up the "Change UPC / Locality" option, select "Disc ID" choosing the disc you have inserted from the drop down, click OK.  The profile will then be identified by the Disc ID rather than a duplicate of the UPC.

Rinse and repeat for the other discs, then making them the Box Set Contents of the main (parent) profile.  Easy peasy lemon squeezy.  Of course you'll want to also edit each (child) profile so that each calls out which disc is being represented.  You'll also want to remove the "Discs" that don't apply for each, the "Cast" and "Crew" details that aren't relevant and so forth.

The plugin BulkEdit adds several menus to the Collection Tab.

  - Flag In-between
  - Flag Box Set
  - Flag Gifts
  - Flag Watched
  - Flagged Add Disc
  - Flagged Clone to Manual
  - Flagged Clone to Disc ID
  - Flagged Clone Children from DiscIDs
  - Flagged Delete All Discs
  - Flagged Clear Collection#
  - Flagged Flag Child Profiles
  - Flagged Flag Parents

Perhaps there is something in there that might help.
Thanks for your support.
