I was wrong.

The problem is still here...

But at least I have a almost complete library on the PC version.

I started to have failed uploads again.

So what I just did was do a complete database repair, cleared my online library, uploaded my library to the online library... I'd assume this should give me a clean and intact library online.

Then I deleted my iOS copy of the app.  Deleted it so it would also delete the database and all data.  Now I'm doing to restore it from the online library and try to add newer titles that are missing from my database and see if I can upload that updated database back to the online version.  If that doesn't work, I think I'm completely done and will look for alternatives.

Thanks friends for trying to help.  Too bad the company doesn't care about us or the product.

Glad you are getting it sorted out. But I would take issue with your last comment. Somebody(s) are in survival mode. Shutting this site down is one mouse click away, that the person(s) you are referencing can do at any moment. The fact that they don't shows that they care. Be careful what you wish for.

Another thought: is it possible that someone who is not otherwise able or allowed to communicate with you, was able to take action to make something work for you temporarily?
Thanks for your support.

Nope.  I had a hiccup of it working and then it failed again.

This product is dead, the company is dead, the support is dead, and it’s time to move on from this.

Even the main page still reads summer sale.

So there is no further working product, and selling it now is a crime.

Too bad because I loved the product.

Sad.  SALES OF THE PRODUCT SHOULD. BE HAULTED.

I've used this product since it first came out.  When the mobile app was offered I continued to give precedent to DVD Profiler for Windows.  Since the beginning I've backed up my local database every month or two without exception and always place a copy of a given backup on a different system or drive.  Over the years I've only needed to restore my database a couple times and I did so from a local backup.  I've never relied on what I had uploaded to Invelos.  I've never relied on what might be residing on my mobile devices.  You know instead of wasting all this time you could have bit the bullet and rebuilt your local database, then created a local backup.  By all means though, throw your little temper tantrum and move on.  Thanks for playing.

I did completely rebuild my collection once I found a backup I had.  Everything worked for about three days before it went back to giving me the error.  I’ve always updated and entered my data using the iOS app and now it doesn’t work, and it truky appears that there is no one at the company that cares at all.  So why should I or anyone else use the software when it stops working.  I don’t have a choice anymore.  I’m angry because I’ve loved, recommended, and supported the product for years and now there is a serious bug and it’s stopped me from using it, and the company is completely unresponsive about it.  They abandoned me, I’m just waking up to realize I have no choice but to quit using it.  I wish it were different, but look at this thread of effort to resolve it, and there’s been no success even working from a new and rebuilt database.

There’s a serious bug that stops me from using the product, and no one to fix it.  The product is over.

Again, I wish this wasn’t so.

You definitely have the right to expect the product to continue working for you as it always has, and the option to stop using it. But so does everybody else. You also have the option to purchase a PC license as a way to protect your database and insure the ability to refresh the iOS. I agree you should not be forced to do that, but it is a viable option. I can think of many products with more severe and costly limitations, iOS itself being one of them.

I have a PC license as well as the iOS one.  But I always update my library using my iPhone, and I need to have it in sync with my iPhone and this is also not working.  I’m very upset that the app continually fails.

I wish the company still existed and were updating the app to fix these bugs.

Checking every now and then, uploading still doesn't work, and there has never been any response to my request for support.  This is a dead product, and it was one of my favorites.

I'm sad about this.
