Studio question regarding suffixes. |

What do we do when they are spelled out, such as Ltd. is Limited or Inc. is Incorporated? Do we still include the suffix even though the only difference is that they are spelled out.
Or what do we do when a suffix is in the middle of the studio name?
Such as Laurel-King Inc. Productions.
Do we removed Inc. and have the studio just Laurel-King Productions?
In a DVD profile of Good Will Hunting there is a studio Be Gentlemen Ltd Prod.
What is the correct studio name to be used following the suffix rule? |

My take on it (after a lot of soul searching) is this: If the company name ends with a comma and a company suffix, then omit it, spelled out or not. Otherwise, leave it. What is this an example from, I have to admit it does seem odd and I don't recall coming across such a scenario so it would seem limited. If there is a suffix before "Productions" then it tells us that "Productions" wouldn't be a part of the actual production company name. It would be more plausible if it actual said "A Laurel-King Inc. Production" without the "s". Quote:

I do see that IMDB lists "Be Gentlemen Limited Partnership" as a production company. Nor did I see this listed on the back covers that I looked at, but I'll attempt to pull the original DVD release and check to be sure. |

If there is a suffix before "Productions" then it tells us that "Productions" wouldn't be a part of the actual production company name. It would be more plausible if it actual said "A Laurel-King Inc. Production" without the "s".
