Ripley is once again awakened from cryo-sleep to discover all is not as it should be.
Not only is she no longer on the ship that carried her, Newt and Hicks away from LV-426, she is also once again the only survivor in the ship's escape pod. But she is not alone for long. For she has crash-landed one 'Fiorina 161', a bleak planet inhabited by former inmates of a maximum security work-correctional facility. When she begins to suspect that an alien may have also been a passenger in her escape pod, Ripley is shocked to discover the inmates posses no advanced technology or modern weapons. Yet the biggest shock is yet to come, for the alien Queen's reaction towards her has Ripley fearing that an old terror has just taken on an even more frightening new dimension.
