THE GHOST AND MR. CHICKEN (1966)
To convince his boss to let him be a reporter, lowly newspaper typesetter Luther Heggs (Knotts) decides to spend a night at an old haunted house hoping to solve a 20-year-old murder case. After encountering a ghost, he pens a story that makes front-page news.
