| Posted: | | | | Found following errors (in addition to those listed in another posts):
Picture of Kenneth McMillan is actually Ian McNeice. They have both played the role of Baron Harkonnen in different Dune movies.
Eddie Byrne's headshot is actually Peter Cushing.
Kathy Byron and Kathleen Byron share the same headshot. | | | Last edited: by Jykke |

| Posted: | | | | Jane Adams (1921): Added Harry Morgan: Corrected Kenneth McMillan: Corrected Eddie Byrne: Corrected Kathy Byron: Couldn't find a headshot of her, deleted.
Headshot hutting tip: Perform a google search for the name inside quotes, their birth year, and the name of the town they were born. You're more likely to get sites dedicated to that person and thus a headshot image. For example: "Kenneth McMillan" 1932 brooklyn |

| Posted: | | | | I'm currently adding a list of notes in the 2nd post in this thread on contribution notes. In it, I'm giving a set of guidelines for contributing headshots and the criteria I'm using to evaluate. It's an evolving post. |

| Posted: | | | | I just spent about 2 hours importing the database and thought it was time well spent! Great job, many excellent updates! My actor database has now grown to 200MB... this is what I found: Cast: Kenny Baker -> both have same image/show the same guy Eddie Byrne appears to be Peter Cushing Hardy Krüger shows a picture of his son Kevin Smith -> both show the same Kevin Smith Nicholas Tse -> I could be wrong, but I think that's not him John McTiernan -> I think that's not him (on the image I have he clearly has a bigger nose ) | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. | Posted: | | | | Would it be possible to get an update headshots file which include only the corrections?
With that kind of file we don't have to do the thousands of picture comparisons again and we can keep those headshots in our own db which we would not like to change to those in the master file. Importing would also take shorter time. |

| Posted: | | | | Providing a headshot database for modifications only for contribution will make my life a LOT easier in maintaining the database. ya_shin is currently doing that now for me. It's too late now for me to do it with v4's database because I've already imported other databases but I'll try to do it for v5.
ya_shin can go into the details of creating a modification only db since he's going through the process now. |

It would have been o.k. to quote my PM Anyway, since I am adding only a few images at this time, I thought I would save the Dr. some labor and download time and did as follows: - create a new database ("Temp" or whatever) - import cast & crew of my current collection (including the merge v3) - add one empty profile, so I can go to Edit Cast & Crew - add all items I want to sent out to that profile - when done, run a database repair removing unused Cast & crew, including the ones with images, which should leave me with the ones in that one profile only - remove the profile (optional, I guess) - Backup the Cast & Crew only The result should be a smaller file and on the other end the Dr. only has to go through the image I am suggesting for inclusion in the database. (He is working hard enough on this already.) | | | Achim [諾亞信; Ya-Shin//Nuo], a German in Taiwan. Registered: May 29, 2000 (at InterVocative) |

I started to create such a list when I realized that for me, it's not possible. While true that I can come up with a list of modified headshots, there's no easy way for me to know who's new. But for people contributing, it should be easy for them to keep track of people they alter in a text file as they are making the updates. |

| Posted: | | | | Eh, to keep things interesting, I can create a separate headshot database for the Rated R and up head shots. If you want to contribute to that, follow the process ya_shin described above to put together a smaller version.
Changed my mind.

It's a database backup containing headshots only, and it's used within the regular DVD Profiler program. To use it: 1. Download the latest version from the first page in this thread 2. In DVD Profiler, click File->Restore Database... 3. Click Browse and select the file you downloaded in step 1 4. Click Next 5. Make sure only "Restore cast and crew databases (including headshots)" is selected 6. Choose your preference for what to do with pictures you already have under "Existing photos" - many people choose to compare all new photos with existing, I myself prefer to simply keep all existing and only add the new ones. 7. Click OK Note: It is very much recommended that you back up your existing database prior to attempting the above. KM | | | Tags, tags, bo bags, banana fana fo fags, mi my mo mags, TAGS!
