The bottom line is it IS approved and it is also correct! Why do you want to remove correct data?  That just doesn't make sense. You say the database is a mess yet you want to change correct data into wrong data.

That a few people want to allow ANY kind of data into the database undocumented or documented and then assume that is correct simply because some other idiot got it past the screeners is just dead wrong. I realize that users like Tim, Rick and some others are intent on screwing up the database with garbage and if there were somenotes that indicated that these Cast Members had been manipulated then i would not change it, though it would NEVER be part of myopwn database. But there is NOTHING and i don't believe that such data remains in the database PERIOD EVER under any circumstances.

Overview: Removed single quotes around titles as they are not italic or bold text. The entire overview is the same font style. (One might argue the entire overview is italics [the font does slant] but were that the case one pair of quotes would surround the entire overview.)
Disc Info: new disc ID extracted from DVD FF49D24008DBDDFA => 6167C4273C32E6F3
Crew: from DVD credits
1) Added Herbick and removed Broomberg to match credits
Cast: from DVD credits
1) Corrected capitalization of the three young Adam Roles to match the closing credits

I haven't contributed to this profile at all. It's very simple: the one person here "wrecking this database", is you, Skip, as you're so nicely illustrating with all this. You're the one trying to turn correct cast entries into bad ones. As I said before: this willfull destruction of good data really has to stop - if you're exhibiting this behaviour elsewhere, too, I sure hope it gets voted down swiftly.

The first, "Updated crew from end credits." refering to the lkisted crew changes and the 2nd "Found common names with the credit lookup tool." referring to any and all common names. They may not be the greatest notes but the information is there. It was good enough for the screeners to accept, I'm not sure why you feel you need to question it. It's almost like you are looking for problems where there are none.  I still would vote no to any contribution removing the info. |
