You just described my simple association system for alias. Note I am NOT including DVD Distirbutor in the same alias list, that would be a different issue and so far is a lot less volatile than the Studios.

Universal=Universal Pictures=MCA=Universal International=and so on

The specific search the user performed would be listed first, and of course the user could search on ONLY the specifc information he wanted.
